The Best Places to Watch the NFL and Super Bowl in Barcelona

American football may not be the biggest sport in Spain, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find great places in Barcelona to catch the action, whether it’s regular NFL games or the Super Bowl. While most locals might think of "football" as "soccer," there’s a thriving expat community and a handful of bars ready to cater to NFL fans. If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy the games with good food, cold drinks, and a lively atmosphere, we’ve got you covered.

The time difference can make watching games tricky, especially with late kickoffs, but there are several late-night bars in Barcelona (some open to 3 am) that broadcast the NFL and even host special events for the Super Bowl. Here’s a list of the best places in the city to enjoy the games (go Saints!).

Belushi’s

Carrer de Bergara, 3, L'Eixample, 08002 Barcelona
Visit Website

Belushi’s is a classic choice for sports fans, especially if you’re looking for that authentic American sports bar vibe. With its central location near Las Ramblas, this bar is popular among Americans and other expats who want to catch NFL games. Belushi’s is known for hosting Super Bowl parties, the food is pretty good, it has drink deals and a good atmosphere. If you’re craving wings, burgers, and beers alongside other fans, this is the place to be. Big and plenty of space and screens to enjoy the game.

George Payne

Pl. d'Urquinaona, 5, L'Eixample, 08010 Barcelona
Website

The king of sports bars in Barcelona, George Payne (my view) is a must-visit spot for NFL fans. This bar boasts a massive number of screens, each clearly marked with what games will be shown - so you’ll never miss a second of the action. Whether it’s a Sunday night game or the Super Bowl, you’ll find a lively crowd and an extensive menu of drinks and snacks (menu here, burgers are good). Sunday also has karaoke, just saying.

Cocovail Beer Hall

Carrer d'Aragó, 284, L'Eixample, 08009 Barcelona
Visit website

If craft beer and great wings sound like your kind of game-day experience, Cocovail Beer Hall is your go-to spot. This smaller venue has a cosy yet buzzing atmosphere, making it ideal for gathering with friends to enjoy the games. It’s highly recommended to arrive early or book in advance, especially for popular events like the Super Bowl. With a stellar beer selection and great wings - Cocovail is a smaller venue, but with a good selection of graft beers on tap (there are loads), it has a good combination of food, location and choice of beer.

The Shamrock

The Shamrock Bar, Carrer dels Tallers, 72, Ciutat Vella, 08001 Barcelona

For those who prefer an Irish pub vibe with their NFL action, The Shamrock is a good option. This cosy bar blends the charm of an Irish pub with the excitement of an American sports bar and it is central and has outdoor seating and a pool table. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and they often show a variety of sports, including NFL games. It’s a great place to grab a pint of Guinness and settle in for some football. Not the place for a Superbowl Party, but a good spot nevertheless.

So there you have my list - there are probably more, so let me know if there are others worth checking out and adding to the list in the comments below, or join our Barcelona English Speakers WhatsApp group.
